Annual Gingerbread House

December 2010

The kids could not WAIT to make their gingerbread house this year. And OF course the stors start displaying them and selling kits in, like, August! So when the first family home evening night of december rolled around (FINALLY;) the kids had their fun!

Obviously they get older and more capable every year, buts its just so fun to see their ideas and creative juices flowing. They come up witht he best ideas and designs. They had a PLAN specifically of how the roof was to look, what patterns went on it and how the windows and doors were to be decorated!

The finished masterpiece!!

Complete with marshmallow igloo, snowballs and honey pretzel firelogs:) Oh, and a gingerbread man from the game Candyland!

Diggin' in!

P to the s...I had felt so crummy with being pregnant and throwing up and all that I did not feel up to decorating the tree this year! Have no fear! Hubby grabbed the fake pre-lit tree from its resting bin out back, set it up, and the kids put the ornaments on all by themselves! Thanks, guys! You did a FAB-ulous job:) (Pay no attention to the clumping of balls near the bottom and the few bald spots...I didn't;)

We love holiday traditions!!
